faster export

It has been noticed that an export of a site or a part of a site might take a long time, in case a number of attachment/media files need to be exported. This leads to a file copy, which can take lots of CPU resources. The Java Application Server is not experiencing high loads when this happens, but still, the system is more loaded then it should.

As you can see in ticket 115, the export is now achieved using an rsync instead of a cp. This will make exports much faster.

Highlighting searched words

The search function displays the searchresults as a list of links. When you click on such a link you go to the page where this search word occurs. In long documents people might have to do an extra search (browser search) to find the exact location of their search word(s). Is it possible to highlight the search words in the result pages? Or is it possible to jump to the first occurence of the word?

Publish item on a forum gives an error when not logged in

When you post a reply on a topic you can start doing this even when you are not logged on. When you then push the publish button, you get an error - not saying what the problem is, so you believe something is wrong with the system.

I think people should get a warning that they have to log on first.

Now it finally turned out that I lost the publication, had to log on first and re-write my comment.

edit profile on forum

We would like to collect more information about our forum users. Therefore it would be usefull to offer a feature to complete / edit user profile information.

Not all fields must be required but people should be able to

- City

- Interests

- Function/profession

Adding a profile manager to the forum givers us an opportunity to start building networks !

Users should also be able to change their passwords.
